The spring is super easy to replace like a 15-20 dollar part I believe. You just have to get the pin holding the contraption out and then there is a base plate and a spring you unload. Snap in the new one and reinstall. I found straps and deployant clasps to be much cheaper at the boutique. Plus when you buy from the boutique they always throw in a a treat. Last time I bought a rubber strap and deployant clasp from them the gave me an orange Seamaster style loupe. Boutique service is always excellent too. Beware, this is not as easy as the classic speedmaster/seamaster older type clasp. You'll have to open the diving extension, then you'll be able to remove the folding part (1 springbar), and the spring "retainer" (2 small springbars). FYI there's 2 very small springs inside. The clasp on my trilogy reissue Seamaster lost its springiness a while back, and thus the clasp would open without touch. Decided a rainy Saturday night was the right time to investigate (first mistake). Does anyone know the replacement part .

Called the boutique and they said they only sell the complete clasp.The spring in the clasp seems to disappear and the buttons are unresponsive. I wear this watch daily but never abuse it in any way.
